Clipe novo do Arcade Fire mostra vingança gênia contra a homofobia
Tive a sorte de ver só este ano duas vezes o Arcade Fire ao vivo, uma no Lolla, em São Paulo, outra, no Coachella.
Além das músicas, que são foda, eles humilham no capricho visual – do figurino que usam no palco até os clipes, que são pequenos filmes. Este, da música We Exist, do discaço Reflektor, acabou de ser publicado no canal da banda.
“Nosso filme segue a história de um jovem que sofre com a identidade de gênero”, diz o texto antes do clipe. Esse jovem, no caso, é o ator Andrew Garfield, que fez O Espetacular Homem-Aranha.
E quando parece que toda merda do mundo vai acontecer pro rapaz em questão, que sai de casa de shortinho, salto, peruca e blusa de seda numa cidadezinha tosca e machista, eis que rola uma reviravolta super Flashdance feelings – e os machos da cidade aparecem pra fazer a dancinha do ano.
Arcade Fire, de novo, mostrando que manda na porra toda.
